Add more offer lines

A confirmed offer is not edited. The customer agreed to it, and it can already be paid, so its lines stay as they are. When the job turns out to need more than was quoted, you send an additional offer instead.

Who does this. Whoever holds the offer step, which is often the installer who found the extra work on site.

Offers are split, so an order can carry several. Each addition creates one more.

Whoever priced the original offer is who adds to it. That is often the merchant and sometimes the installer, so if you priced the work, this is yours to do.

Add the lines

  1. Open the order and go to its Create offer or Accept offer step. The step has to be done.
  2. Select Add more offer lines.
  1. Select Continue. This adds a new Create offer step and an Accept offer step to the workflow. It also adds a Pay step when the workflow has one.
  1. You land on the new Create offer step.
  2. Add only the new items. Do not repeat what the first offer already covers, or the customer is charged for it twice.
  3. Send the offer as normal. The customer confirms and pays it the same way.

The new steps are inserted after the last completed step and are optional, so they do not block the order if the customer declines.

Who can do it

Whoever creates the offers in that part of the workflow. If your organisation did not create the original offer, the button does not appear.

Removing items instead

Add more offer lines only adds. To take something off an offer that is already out, use Credit lines on that offer. See Credit offer lines.
